Life changing experience with April at A Restore Mind! Our son was autistic with flapping, hyperfocus, sensitive to temperature, textures, preferred nonsocial and uncomfortable in new surroundings. It would take him a half day to have the courage to talk to someone on the phone. He could control his flapping but once home needed to decompress and be by himself to flap. He was never comfortable driving by himself and could not explain why. Once starting with April, we realized he didn't have quick reflexes, which you need to drive. He can process faster now and he drives everywhere confidently. His flapping is TOTALLY gone, which we never though possibe!! No desire to flap anymore, and it has been almost two years since he last flapped. Amazing changes in so many areas. Eating sensitivity diminished. He now has a job where he talks to new people in person or on the phone constantly and is totally comfortable in these situations. He says all the time...I would not have this job without April.

People wonder if it will change their child. All changes are positive. My son was funny before and he is still quick witted and fun to be around now. We did't choose April so that society would accept him but chose April and neurofeedback so that our son felt comfortable and not fearful in society. He may not be fearless now, but he fears MUCH LESS! Social interaction is not a big deal. He doesn't ruminate over life experiences that are coming up. Before he would worry for weeks. Now he might think about it but is able to move on without being fearful and actually looks forward to social interaction. Again, the flapping and hyperfocus is gone!!! April has been such a blessing. She has given our son independence, social connection, and an ability to not allow fears to debilitate him. April has set him up to lead a successful life without being dependent on us, his parents. He has big ideas and dreams now. And as his parents, that's all we wanted.
